Common Signs of a Recruiting Scam
Requests for Payment
They ask you to pay for resume writing, background checks, or training. Job seekers never pay anything to work with Recruiting Connection.
Personal Details Too Early
They ask for your Social Security number, ID, bank details, or other documents after a quick chat. Please don’t share personal information or documents until you’ve verified the sender.
Checks for Equipment
They send you a check to buy home-office equipment from their “vendor.” The check bounces after you’ve already paid.
Text-Only Interviews
They skip phone and video calls and run the whole interview over text or chat. With us, you’ll chat with a recruiter and come in for an interview.
Pressure to Move Fast
They push you to interview or accept an offer within a few days, before you have time to check who they are.
Someone Claiming to Be Us
They use our name but email from Gmail, another personal account, or a look-alike address like @recruitingconnection.com. Forward the message to office@recruitingconnection.org so we can verify it.
