What to Look For in a Utah CFO
- CPA or MBA. Public accounting background, Big 4 or a strong regional firm, is a reliable signal.
- Proof of scaling a finance function through a growth event or transaction, not just running a steady-state one
- Board and investor communication fluency. This person will present to your board.
- M&A experience on both sides: buy-side diligence and post-close integration
- Industry fit matters. SaaS unit economics are a different language than healthcare reimbursement or plant-level cost accounting.
